Article Submissions
We are always accepting articles for our online resource library. We have 500 megabytes of server space to fill up and we need some help doing that. We are interested in articles about natural childbirth (unmedicated childbirth), pregnancy, midwifery, breastfeeding, and newborn baby care. We are especially looking for articles written in such a way that can help childbirth educators prepare and backup their lessons with solid information and statistics. You can find our current general topics by clicking the "Resources" link to the left. We are looking for information to fill these topics and will create new categories if your article does not fit well into the ones we have.

All authors will retain full rights to their articles if they wish to use them or sell them elsewhere in addition to having them posted here. We also ask that each author include a one or two paragraph short biographical blurb to be included at the end of their articles along with contact information if you wish for people to know that (websites, email, phone, business information, etc). If you own or operate a related business, a related type of website, or a related mailing list, please let us know so we can include you on a link resource page as well.

The more articles that you submit, the more your name will be seen. It could be considered a method of free advertising for you. Our purpose right now is to collect a very large free resource of natural childbirth information that can be accessed in one location.

Some topics that we are not looking for include articles favoring formula feeding over breastfeeding, favoring routine unnecessary interventions, excessively debative issues, etc. This doesn't mean that there will never be any articles about some of those topics, but that we don't want to over emphasize those topics. If you aren't sure if your article falls into such a category, we will still consider it because our aim is to present a balanced, yet scientifically accurate viewpoint. Even though we are a natural childbirth website, we will occasionally present opposing views for the purpose of allowing you to see both sides of an issue and to enable you to make an informed decision.

For now please send any submissions or questions to Alison and Robert Haasch at articles@naturalchildbirth.org. All articles should be submitted in a plain text format or as a Microsoft Word file and must be your own original work. We will take care of the HTML formatting for our website and will possibly create PDF versions of the articles.
