The Mother's Milk Bank is an organization in Denver, Colorado which collects and supplies donated breast milk for babies with special needs. They are currently looking for donors who can help them supply this precious breastmilk to these babies. Currently, they are running very low on their supply of breastmilk and may not have enough to send to those who need it.
It is not a very difficult process to collect and freeze breastmilk. They are looking for donors who can make a commitment to participate in the program for a minimum of eight weeks and supply a minimum of 10 ounces of milk per week. At this point in time, they will pay for the shipping with their own UPS account number and will arrange to have UPS pick it up at your home.
Since there are so many babies who need breastmilk who can't otherwise get it, please consider the possibility of participating in this program or one similar to it. Ten ounces per week is really not much extra and can mean a lot to a sick baby. Please contact them at the phone number or address below. If you are calling long distance, they will call you back.
